Privacy Statement
IFSIB respects your privacy.
Protecting your personal information has always been important to IFSIB and is now required by law. Changes to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) means that IFSIB must handle your personal information in accordance with a set of National Privacy Principles.
At IFSIB, we only collect the information that is necessary in order to enable us to provide a particular service to you – usually formulating and implementing insurance and risk management strategies for you. IFSIB may also provide you with information on opportunities or products that we may feel are relevant to your personal circumstances; however, IFSIB will not release any of your personal information to third parties without your prior consent.
Your personal information will not be used or disclosed for any other purpose without your consent, except where required by law. For example, IFSIB may be required to report certain information to the Australian Taxation Office for tax related purposes.
The personal information collected by IFSIB either from you or from a source approved by you may include your contact details, date of birth, insurance, financial and/or investment details and Tax File Number (if you have chosen to quote it). Over time, this will be supplemented with other information necessary to allow IFSIB to continue to provide services to you.
We have security measures in place, and the staff that handle your personal information have the knowledge, skills and commitment to protect it from unauthorised access or misuse.
As an IFSIB client, you may ask to see the information we hold about you and to have it corrected if required.
